Treatment of back pain at Osteopathy Bern

Back pain

The most common form of back pain occurs in the lower back. About 85% of the occurring back pain is non-specific, i.e. it has no underlying pathological cause.

Did you know that almost 70% of the Swiss population suffers from back pain several times a year?

We hope to help ensure that this percentage does not increase and, in the best case, even decreases.

What is back pain?

Back pain is pain along the spine and surrounding structures, and in addition to the lower back, the pelvic and hip areas may also hurt. Back pain can manifest as sharp local pain, but also as vague dull pain.

Back pain can occur quite suddenly during certain movements (lumbago) or can last over a long period of time.

Back pain can also cause radiation to the legs.

  • Strain of muscles or ligaments
